Over on the
official Mass Effect forums
, community coordinator Chris Priestly has confirmed that the development team for the PC version of Mass Effect is pushing the release date back by a few weeks. Originally to be released on May 6, 2008, the new release date for North America is May 28, 2008 and June 6, 2008 in Europe.
He states the reason for the delay is that "a few more weeks in the studio will ensure we deliver the quality that our fans deserve. The additional time will allow us to incorporate more play-testing feedback, add extra polish and tune the additional features so that Mass Effect is a natural and outstanding PC gaming experience."
Bummer. But if it means it will deliver a more pleasing experience, then by all means Bioware, take your time.
