Call of Duty 4 PS3 Map Pack Now Available
Variety Map Pack makes its way to PSN

The long awaited Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Variety Map Pack, is available now for download for PlayStation 3 owners through the PlayStation Network. The PlayStation Network will host a Double XP Weekend, where players can earn twice as many experience points as they battle on the new multiplayer maps starting at 12:01 GMT, Friday, April 25th through 11:59 PDT, Sunday, April 27th.

The Variety Map Pack features four new multiplayer maps including “Broadcast,” featuring tight corridors and wide open parking lots, “Chinatown” where night battles lit by the full moon can play havoc against a backdrop of brightly colored lamps and neon signs of the local district; “Killhouse,” where squads will need to move through building mock-ups and plywood walls in order to take control of the combat arena; and “Creek,” a where battles are fought among high ridgelines and deep in underground caves.

Additionally, the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Game of the Year Edition for the PlayStation 3 will ship to North American stores on May 6. If you can wait until then to give the new maps a run and are one of the only people in the world to not have bought Call of Duty 4 yet, the GotY Edition with feature a token to allow players to download the Map Pack for free.
