Have you been waiting for some Aerosmith songs to rock out to on Rock Band? Well, you’re going to have to keep on waiting. According to this Newsweek story via Videogaming 247 , the band has an exclusive deal with Activision and Red Octane and will not be releasing any songs, other than the one for Rock Band that is already out, for any other games for an unspecified amount of time.

"It's an exclusive deal for this game," Aerosmith publicist Marcee Rondon told Harris. We confirmed this with Tim Riley, Activision's vice president of music affairs, who told us through Activision PR that "I can say that we do have the band exclusively, and their catalogue should be exclusive to us beyond the one or two tracks they had licensed out to Rock Band before we made our deal."

The future is here and it's video games fighting for band exclusivity rights. What a shame.
