Double XP Weekend Returns for CoD 4
Both PS3 and 360 versions to take part

To thank everyone for their support – and to make sure Call of Duty 4 remains on the top of the charts – Infinity Ward will be reinstating the Double XP weekend starting this Friday morning until Monday morning for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions.

They will also be switching up the map rotations playlists so that the variety map pack isn’t played so much more than the older maps. Here’s what community manager FourZeroTwo had to say about it on his blog :

in addition, we will be tweaking all the playlist map rotations a bit so that the Variety Map Pack no longer shows up 2:1 to old maps. Therefore all maps (old and new) have an equal chance to come up in map rotation, so you won’t be seeing Chinatown pop up 8,000 times or any other new map over and over again.

I’m looking at you Creek.
