L.A. Noire Lets You Skip Action
Suck at games? No problem!

Rockstar is attempting to reach into a new realm of storytelling with L.A. Noire. The upcoming title was even featured at the Tribeca Film Festival. It's an interesting development regarding the divisions between games and other mediums, especially when you can turn L.A. Noire into a more traditional adventure game by skipping action-oriented sections.

After failing an action segment multiple times, players will be asked if they wish to skip the segment and move on to the narrative.

This raises important questions regarding the focus on experience versus challenge, the growing need for publishers to target all consumers and not sectors, and why the action segments are included in the first place.
