The timing on this back-to-school sale is a little off, especially for the students who purchased their computers BEFORE the school-year ended. You really do have to feel bad for the poor fellow who said, "I wish I had known about this on Monday."

For everyone else who is a student, this is an excellent offer.

In the US, purchase a Windows 7 PC worth $699 or more at participating retailers, between May 23 and September 3, 2011, and get an Xbox 360 4GB console free. Then, return it to another store for credit, or turn around and sell it for cash on Craigslist.

I'm just saying what we're all thinking anyway.

To qualify, you'll need a .edu email address, or appropriate ID, or a student who wants to make a quick $20. Now all we need is that list of participating retailers....
