Xbox 360 Heads into the Cloud
One person, multiple consoles.

Much like Sony and Steam, Xbox LIVE is the latest company to announce cloud-based services, although the service remains shrouded in mystery. Excerpt from Marc Whitten's email:

"Cloud storage will allow you to enjoy the same great Xbox Live gaming experience even when you're not in your own living room by giving you the option to store your 'game saves' securely in the Xbox Live cloud instead of on a portable memory unit or your console's hard drive."

The email also mentions profiles, Achievements, purchases, and friend lists, but no mention of limitations, such as the number of consoles that can access a single profile or how much storage space will be available.

Regardless of lingering questions, this is an exciting prospect for a system that currently relies on cumbersome profile-changes and largely immovable games.
