Wave of LulzSec Attacks Strike Gamers
Minecraft, The Escapist, and more.

I'll admit it. I got a small, guilty chuckle out of LulzSec's attack on Bethesda. Really, who hacks a major company and asks for in-game top hats.

Today is a completely different story.

There have been DDos attacks on Minecraft (back up), The Escapist (still down), EVE Online (still down), and League of Legends (still down). As usual affected users are encouraged to change all passwords.

With these attacks, LulzSec has firmly solidified their reputation an opponent of gaming, as real-life griefers, and not the cyber comedians they pretend to be. These attacks are not humorous. They are destructive for the sake of destruction. The websites and games affected are the result of hard work, and they represent people's livelihoods.

I fail to see what is funny about that.
