GameStop has completed its acclimation of Stardock’s digital distribution platform and has renamed it GameStop Impulse. As it was when it was owned by Stardock, the digital distribution platform features a client, web site, and various tools like community features, an auto-updating feature and more.
In April, GameStop announced that it had purchased streaming technology company Spawn Labs and digital distribution platform, Impulse. Financial details of those were not disclosed. The company integrated the spawn technology, Impulse client and all of its 1,200 downloadable PC titles into GameStop.com.
GameStop is currently running a two week Download Days sale, offering discounts on a number of titles, with some games getting as much as 75 percent off.
