A sequel to Borderlands, Gearbox's post apocalyptic other-worldly first-person shooter RPG, is in the works. The developer describes the sequel as a "no-brainer," following the success of the first title on Xbox 360 and PC. The game will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC during 2K's next fiscal year, which begins on April 1, 2012. The sequel promises to allow players to explore new regions on planet Pandora, along with new characters, more skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment.
The game will be shown for the first time two weeks from now at Gamescom, and then at PAX Prime presentation August 26 - 28. It is also the cover story for the September issue of Game Informer Magazine.
