Jeff Vogel and his company Spiderweb Software announced today plans to release Avadon: The Black Fortress to Steam at a new low price of $9.99. This is the first time a Spiderweb RPG has been available on Valve's digital distribution platform. On August 17, Spiderweb Software will bring Avadon: The Black Fortress to Steam. In Avadon: The Black Fortress, five nations have banded together to form The Pact. The Pact is defended by Avadon, a secretive sect of spies and assassins. Its agents are everywhere, and its word is law. You play as a recruit of the "Hand of Avadon," and are charged with missions that require swift action and a heavy fist. The enemies of the Pact have plans of their own, and Hands of Avadon are being picked off one by one. It will fall to you to survive and to reveal that plot that could shatter the safety of The Pact and plunge your homeland into chaos.
