SEGA of America's Virtua Fighter 5, the latest title in its long-running arcade fighting franchise, will get an update and expansion released as a standalone title for both Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network. The new game, Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, will overhaul Virtua Fighter 5’s mechanics, balance and animations, along with new game modes, new fighting arenas, a collection of customizable character items and new characters added to the roster. Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is expected to be available in summer 2012.
