Quantum Conundrum Announced
Square Enix, Airtight Games and Kim Swift storm PAX Prime this weekend with new game.

Square Enix officially announced Quantum Conundrum, a first-person platform puzzle game from Airtight Games and the co-creator of Portal, Kim Swift. Quantum Conundrum will be available as a download in early 2012 on Steam for Windows PC, the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade.

In Quantum Conundrum, you play a young kid dropped off on his uncle’s doorstep. His uncle, who is an eccentric inventor named Professor Fitz Quadwrangle has gone missing. Using Professor Quadwrangle’s latest invention, the Inter-Dimensional Shift Device, players must progress through the complicated Quadwrangle Manor.

Penny Arcade Expo (PAX Prime) attendees will be the first to see Square Enix and Airtight Games globally reveal Quantum Conundrum through their exclusive panel. Creative Director Kim Swift (PORTAL, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2) and representatives from the Quantum Conundrum team, explain how they are bringing the game to life. The panel will be held on Saturday, August 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pegasus Room.

The game has a tentative release date of 2012.
