Index, the parent company of Atlus, posted a loss for the fiscal year running from September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2011. The company saw sales of ¥22.9 billion ($298.18 million) for the last fiscal year, down a third over the same period last year.
Losses for the company came in at ¥4.5 billion ($58.60 million) from ¥7.4 billion ($96.36) during fiscal 2010. The company's game division that includes Atlus, the mobile company Index, and the online company Rosso Index, saw sales of ¥18.5 billion ($240.9 million) and operating profits of ¥2.3 billion ($29.95 million).
Of special note is that Catherine managed to sell half a million units worldwide and that it saw continued sales of its Persona series of dark RPG's.
