Trion Worlds revealed that its MMO Rift earned the company a cool $100 million in 2011.

Earlier this week, Trion Worlds secured $85 million in new funding, led by the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, with additional capital from Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments. The company plans to use the cash to grow its worldwide online games business. The company is developing two new titles - End of Nations, and a game called Defiance, being developed in conjunction with the Syfy Network. Trion Worlds is also getting into the publishing business with a new division called "Red Door."

I guess everything is coming up roses for the Rift developer...
