Mr. Binky’s Random Stuff: Ninja Gaiden!
An exciting tale from the Ninja Gaiden universe!

Before you leave, please indulge an old man in the twilight of his life. Ryu, have you done any estate planning? Specifically have you decided what would happen to your home should you fall in battle? No? Well, I know that you are young and strong and will no doubt live a long, long time, but a man must take precautions to make sure that his affairs are in order. I’m sure it is nothing other than old Muramasa projecting his own anxieties on you. Not to worry, my boy, not to worry at all. Wait, before you go, I have one favor to ask. Can you please sign this order for supplies from our neighboring village? As you know, once you rebuilt Hayabusa village, you put yourself in charge of the village’s treasury and in all of your adventuring, you must have forgotten to set up trade relationships and now our people do not have all the food they need. All we need is your signature right here. What? What does “testament” mean? Well, it’s just another word for “order”. Yes, “last will and testament” simply means that this is the last order we’ll need to place with the neighboring village. Wonderful! Wonderful! With this, all is in order. Now, off with you to rescue Momiji! God speed!

...

My dear Momiji, so nice to have you back in our village! Yes, I know, I too am saddened by Ryu’s death, but all ninjas know the dangers they face when they take up the arts. How lucky for all of us he had the presence of mind to ensure that his possessions went to who he wanted them to, rather than be divided up among the villagers. Why thank you, my home is quite beautiful, and right on the river as I had always hoped! Fear not dear Momiji for a home has just opened up for you. It is somewhat close to the refuse pile, however if you keep your windows shut, the smell is almost bearable. Now off with you dear Momiji, our village needs a protector and your training must continue. Besides, old Muramasa needs to take nap in his riverside hammock.
