We saw a lot of good and a lot of borderline awful games at E3 this year. Here are ten games that we absolutely cannot wait to play, all based on our time with them on the show floor and in closed door meetings. The big surprise? It was a pretty good E3 for the PC.

Several potentially great games just missed our Top 10 such as Street Fighter IV, Prince of Persia, End War, LOTR: Conquest, Mirror's Edge, Crysis: Warhead, among many others. All of these might end up being fantastic games, but these are the ten games that stood out the most.

10. LittleBigPlanet - PS3 - Sony

This is a game you are either going to "get" or you won't. It's a difficult game to describe and is a pretty big risk for Sony. We happen to think it looks amazing. At first glance it's a straight up platformer that’s about getting from point A to point B but it’s the physics engine, along with the ability for users to make their own levels that has us wanting to play this sucker as soon as possible.

The risk here is hoping that the online community embraces it so that it can reach its full potential, but games like this need to be highlighted for trying something new – it’s not a sequel! How novel.

9. Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II - PC- THQ

We love Warhammer (as you'll see again later on) and we also loved the original Dawn of War games. The sequel takes things in a new direction -- smaller scale battles with a personal touch. Think X-Com in the 40K universe (with Blood Ravens marines, Eldar, Orks..and maybe more) but in real time with traits of Company of Heroes and you get the idea. It looks fantastic.
