On the question of walks, which was the number one “realism” issue in last year’s game, Nelson was non-committal, simply saying that we had the ability to edit player attributes and that players had ratings that affect things like pitcher control and batter’s eye. So, are there more walks this year? We have no idea. We’ll simply have to play the game.
The game will support wireless multiplayer on the DS and same machine play on the Wii and PS2 – no online play or downloadable rosters again this year.
Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers are still left out, and Nelson didn’t rule out a chance that future versions would hit the other consoles. This year it will be out for the Wii ($39.99), PS2 ($29.99), and DS ($19.99) and we’ll have a full review posted as soon as possible.
