Konami Digital Entertainment today announced it has shipped Konami Classics Series: Arcade Hits exclusively for the Nintendo DS to retail stores nationwide. Featuring 15 of the most well known and influential arcade smash hits from the 1980’s such as Contra, Gradius and Track & Field, the game lets players relive their greatest gaming memories with new dual screen presentation, support for wireless multiplayer action and a wealth of rare unlockable materials that provide an insider’s view of these classic titles.

Delivering 15 arcade classics to the Nintendo DS, Konami Classics Series: Arcade Hits lets players enjoy each game with a number of screen configurations including horizontal and vertical options. As they progress through each game, players can record and save replays of high scores and impressive feats which can then be shared with friends via local wireless connection on the Nintendo DS. A selection of games that featured multiplayer play in the arcades can be enjoyed wirelessly with a friend on the Nintendo DS, and players can also wirelessly send demo versions of all 15 games to other users within range.
