Nintendo and Pokémon USA will celebrate the launch of the new Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl games for the hand-held Nintendo DS with an afternoon of festivities for gamers and Pokémon fans of all ages. The games have already sold millions in Japan, and pre-orders have already topped 500,000 in the U.S. Based on these numbers, Nintendo expects Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl to be among the top-selling games for 2007. Thousands of Pokémon fans are expected to attend this fun-filled event in NYC, and millions more are invited to log on to www.pokemon.com to catch all of the day’s excitement via a live webcast to run throughout the entire event. The event will take place on April 22nd from 1 - 5 PM.
