As announced yesterday , Hasbro and Electronic Arts are developing a number of games that are based on many of Hasbro’s established properties. Although many are of already well known board games and toy lines, some may not have found them to be too enticing. One game that was not announced is a game based on the upcoming G.I. Joe movie, which is slated for a 2009 summer release. An EA rep confirmed that the publisher has interactive rights to "G.I. Joe" as part of its overall deal with Hasbro, but declined to comment on any specific game plans. It’s been a looooong time since there has been a game based on G.I. Joe and hopefully this deal will make it happen sooner rather than later.
