Ubisoft has announced that Prince of Persia for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 has shipped to store shelves antionwide. Additionally, the complementary adventure exclusively for the Nintendo DS, Prince of Persia: The Fallen King, also shipped to retailers.

"Prince of Persia is one of the most innovative and critically acclaimed franchises in video game history," said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Ubisoft. "This new chapter will continue to set the standard for the action-adventure genre and is a definite must-own title this holiday season."

Set in a land rooted in ancient Persian mythology, the warrior Prince finds himself caught in an epic battle between the primal forces of light and darkness that pits the God of Light, Ormazd, against his brother, Ahriman, the destructive God of Darkness. After witnessing the destruction of the legendary Tree of Life - an act which unleashes Ahriman's corrupted darkness onto the land - the Prince and his deadly companion, Elika, embark on a journey to heal the world from the evil Corruption and defeat Ahriman once and for all.
