Like the infection that afflicts them, Popcap’s zombies have spread to almost every single device you can imagine. With the recent release on XBLA and PSN, one of the only places left to go is the Nintendo DS.

Now Popcap has announced that Plants vs. Zombies will indeed be heading there starting in January of 2011. The handheld game will include new achievements, four all-new mini-games, and a 2-player versus mode that will let players challenge their friends as as plants or zombies.
