Nintendo's 3DS has been on shelves in the US for approximately one month. Despite the inclusion of a 3D screen, a 3D camera, and Street Pass, the 3DS has proven one thing.

Westerners really like cute little dogs and cats.

Nintendogs + Cats has become the top-selling 3DS-exclusive title, with 1.71 million units sold worldwide. Especially interesting is that 1.25 million of those copies were sold outside of Japan.
