No it’s not done yet – another three tracks for Rock Band were released. Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots brings back some memories. Not good memories, but it still brings them back.

PlayStation Network

Over on the PlayStation Network, we have a few items worth mentioning. First, as required under USC 205-345:4, all the Rock Band tracks for the 360 also made it to the PS3. There are two new add-on packs for Folklore, which you can purchase for $3.99 each or $5.99 for both. Two unlockable vehicles for Need for Speed Pro Street will set you back three bucks each. Remember last week when I mentioned the lack of PSOne titles in the North American store? Well Sony heard my complaints and released ONE new game! That’s right Crash Bandicoot 2 is all yours for the low low price of $5.99. I think I’ll pass. Three thousand PSOne titles and we get a sequel to a Crash game? You’ve got to be kidding me.

The PC PlayStation store has Ape Quest for your PSP for $19.99 for the entire game. Why it’s separate from the PSN store is beyond me – although Sony mentions it separately in their release, I have confirmed that the game is available the PS3 as well (for the PSP). There’s a demo of Super Stardust HD and a ‘title update’ for those that paid for Stardust HD which will now allow you to have custom soundtracks among other things. If you haven’t picked up this game yet, you really should as it’s one of the better PS3 offerings. Thankfully they’ll let you play a demo now before buying. Speaking of demos, a Kane & Lynch Dead Men demo finally made it over to the PS3, and I have to say the demo of the game does make me want to play the full game at some point….I doubt it’s anything ground breaking, but I can think of worse ways to waste time.

That rounds out this week’s offerings – as I said in the beginning of the column, it’s rather slim pickins this week, but was to be expected with CES. Let’s up for a plethora of gaming goodness next week. Until then, keep hoping that HDDVD will make a comeback.
