Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
So it may end up being a lot like Phantom Hourglass but I bet your next orgasm is probably going to be a lot like your last one, yet that doesn't mean you want to stop having orgasms. Ditto for pie. (Man I could go for some pie.) Anyway, leading around armored guardians, taking on bosses that need two screens to contain and riding the rails without worrying about being rolled by hobos seems like a great way to spend time with Link and crew. If there's pie too, then even better.
Wii Sports Resort
True story. So when we were playing Wii Sports Resort and I saw a glimpse of all of the games, I asked the developer what the airplanes game was. He told us that you hold the Wiimote like a toy airplane to fly it around. I then said that I play with my Transformers like that all of the time. Pretty sure him and Danielle were, at the moment, wishing to be as far away from me as possible, but I don't care. Playing Wii Sports Resort made me feel like a kid again because sometimes it's just fun to pretend to have a sword fight or pretend to shoot arrows, or fly your toy planes around making "Brrrrrrrrr" noises.

Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time
Insomniac has been getting away with making the exact same game for years. Ratchet and Clank is just so damn good that it doesn't need drastic alterations -- more of the same is exactly what this series does best, and A Crack in Time is sticking to that formula. Solid shooting, a mix of platforming, quirky characters, hilarious dialogue and awesome weapons... why change that? A Crack in Time is adding new gear, a different story, and some stellar time traveling puzzles. Like previous Ratchet games, this one's gonna rock.
Split Second
The dudes and ladies behind Pure, one of the best racing games of 2008, have an incredibly original, gorgeous, rock solid racer on their hands with Split Second. The sheer chaos that comes from triggering events, like explosions, new obstacles and alternate routes makes for crazy, unpredictable races. The satisfaction that comes from crushing an opponent with air-dropped cargo or a detonated gas station tops the "take that!" feeling of Burnout's takedowns. Split Second is absolutely exhilarating and encompasses everything I want in an original racing game.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
I would have done almost anything for a New Super Mario Bros. sequel on the DS. A console version with four-player co-op never crossed my mind, but after playing NSMB Wii I'm convinced that Nintendo is going to continue to drain my bank account. Messing with your buds by jumping on their head, tossing them around or gobbling them whole with your mountable Yoshi is going to make for an immeasurably awesome new way to play a 2D Mario. That my Mario-loving family can side scroll with me is genius.
Halo 3: ODST
I'm huge on Halo's fiction. Not so much with the games. But ODST is different enough that it's going to be a different type of FPS in a universe I adore. It's the same Halo 3 with new guts. The vulnerability that accompanies playing as a regular old soldier, and his allies via story flashbacks, is sort of shocking having come off kicking ass as Master Chief. The narrative structure sounds cool, and the new Firefight multiplayer could become an addiction -- defending waves of enemies sounds easy until Halo's infamous Skulls factor into how the enemies behave. Trying to reach just one more wave is going to hook me for sure, as I'm sure the post-Halo 2, pre-Halo 3 story will.
