According to an Associated Press report, Monthly sales of Sony's PlayStation 3 in Japan have finally surpassed Nintendo's Wii for the first time since the systems debuted late last year.
In the four weeks ending Nov. 25, Sony sold 183,217 PS3s in Japan, while Nintendo sold 159,193 Wii consoles, market researcher Enterbrain reported Friday. The jump in sales was attributed to price cuts and the introduction of a cheaper 40GB system.
