A new a musical game has been announced for the Nintendo Wii from developers, THQ. Entitled, Band Mashups, the game revolves around eleven bands trying to topple the evil big boss, Mr. Hong, and take control of the city New Cadenza. Featuring an exciting two player versus mode and an extensive single-player campaign, the game introduces a new and unique concept of “Music Switching”.

Music Switching allows the player who is winning the battle, to control the style of music both players hear. When an opponent starts to take the lead, the music switches between 5 different musical styles, ranging from rock, funk/hip-hop, country, Latin and marching band. Band Mashups features 30 classic and modern chart-topping hits from over the last four decades, all of which have been recorded in the five different mash up styles. Look for Mashups to hit, only for the Nintendo Wii, in April 2008.
