Nintendo has a couple of new additions to the Wii Shop Channel that will be available starting at noon EST today. The new additions are Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of DOOM and Phantasy Star II. Ninja Gaiden III, available for 500 Wii Points, is the final chapter in the Ninja Gaiden series for the NES system and follows ninja Master Ryu Hayabusa as he tries to clear his name in the murder of FBI agent Irene Lew. Using reworked gameplay mechanics such as his ability to grab horizontal sufaces, reduced falling speed and visible power-ups, Ninja Gaiden remains a favorite of the NES catalogue. Phantasy Star II, available for 800 Wii Points, originally released on the Sega Genesis, is a classic RPG game that featured one of the most epic storylines for the console. Play as one of several characters as you build your characters weapons and armor to take down the various enemies found throughout your immense journey.
