RockBand Officially Announced for Wii
Dated for a June 22nd release across North America
Date: Monday, March 24, 2008
Author: Jeff McAllister

Although it was just a matter of time, Harmonix and MTV Games have finally confirmed that RockBand will be heading home for Nintendo Wii owners on June 22, 2008 for the almighty sum of $169.99. The “Special Edition” bundle of RockBand for the Wii will include the game, drums, microphone and a wireless guitar.

Stand alone instruments will also be available on the same release date for people who want to build their band one instrument at a time or people like me who have no interest in the embarrassment of singing. The game will feature 63 songs including five bonus songs and as of yet, there is no word if there will be a music store the likes of the 360 and PS3.
