Wii Guitar Hero III owners who had returned their game disc because of the mono sound issues for a replacement have been given a little something extra for their troubles. It seem Red Octane and Activision have sent out free face plates for the games Les Paul guitars to those customers who had sent in their game discs. The red, yellow and black guitar face plates for the controller are a nice touch and it’s really nice to see a company step up and go the extra mile when they make a mistake. Along with the Face plate, a note is included inside saying:

"You recently received a Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock Wii replacement disc. To show our appreciation for your patience during the re-mastering and manufacturing phase for Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock for the Wii, enclosed is a complementary Guitar Hero faceplate from Activision/Red Octane,"
