2K Sports dropped us a line to let us know that they hard at work on a downloadable patch for both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions of MLB 2K8.

They are in the testing process of an update to fix the framerate in the 360 version and to help improve the overall gameplay experience, while another update for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is being worked on to correct an issue in Franchise mode when playing as the San Diego Padres and attempting to move players to and from their minor league roster.

These updates are currently undergoing technical review, and will be available for download shortly, free of charge. They also mention that they are aware of certain gameplay issues with the Wii and PlayStation2 versions of Major League Baseball 2K8. Although there is not an update available as of yet because of the lack of network capabilities, steps are being taken to find alternate solutions.
