Harmonix and MTV Games have announced the addition of seven tracks from alternative grunge band Nirvana to the Rock Band Music Store for the Nintendo Wii.

The lineup includes seven master recordings from Nirvana’s 1991 album Nevermind including “Breed,” “Lounge Act,” “On a Plain,” “Polly,” “Something in the Way,” “Stay Away,” and “Territorial Pissings.” These tracks join “In Bloom” from the original Rock Band soundtrack and “Drain You” featured on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack to make for a total of nine Nirvana songs available in the Rock Band music catalog available to Wii owners.

This week’s offering comes from the Rock Band Music Store catalog of downloadable content already released to owners of the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.
