XSEED Games has inked a partnership with Namco Bandai Games that will publish the arcade fishing game, Fishing Resort, for Wii in North America. Developed by PROPE, the studio led by Sonic creator Yuji Naka, Fishing Resort puts players on a tropical island where they can explore and fish using the Wii Remote.

In Fishing Resort, players take control of their own island vacation. they can go fishing, take a leisurely bike ride or simply explore the island paradise for fishing hotspots. Players are free to fish wherever there is water, and a variety of locales are available, from tropical ocean fishing on the high sea to ice fishing atop the island’s mountains. The game features a total of 20 fish-related mini games and over 200 varieties of fish - in addition to four-player competitive modes and online leaderboards

The game ships this fall in North America.
