Author: James Fudge

XSEED Games' open-world fishing title, Fishing Resort for Wii, has gone gold and will ship to retailers across North America on November 22. In addition to the stand-alone game at a suggested retail price of $19.99, Fishing Resort will also be released as a bundle with NAMCO BANDAI Games’ own fishing rod controller peripheral packaged with the game at a suggested retail price of $29.99. Developed exclusively for use with Fishing Resort, this peripheral attaches the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers to mimic the movements of fishing with a rod and reel.

Created by NAMCO BANDAI Games and PROPE in Japan, Fishing Resort turns players loose on a tropical island paradise resort and lets them experience their vacation as they see fit. Fishing Resort’s environment features a multitude of locations, from peaceful lakes and dense, lush forests to sandy beaches, deep blue seas and even ice-covered mountains. Players can move about the island as they choose and enjoy a wide variety of fishing activities at their own pace.

Fishing Resort also offers over 20 different mini-games from kayak racing to scavenger hunts around the island, as well as submarine tours and the ability to customize your own aquarium.
