No More Heroes Review
13 out of 15
A standout adult themed Wii action game built around the strengths of the system. If you like assassination, Star Wars, anime, and professional wrestling -- this is your game.

The The ten targets are an eclectic group that range from young to old. Right before you reach the final area where you do battle with your target you will hear a ringing coming from the remote. You put the speaker up to your ear and Sylvia gives you a last minute pep talk by talking through the remote and it sounds much like a cell phone call. She isn’t very good at pepping you up during many of the assassination attempts, often telling you that she is over 100% sure that you will not make it out alive, but if you do you’ll be greatly rewarded. Then you can save the game by taking a bathroom break and you go in to fight the target. Each target has a short cutscene where they talk about themselves. In some cases Travis is a cocky bastard to the target, but there are other times where Travis shows remorse toward his enemy. Each target is an engaging experience and early on you need to formulate a plan to get by their ranged attacks as well as how to take them on in close quarters.

Overall, No More Heroes is a truly satisfying adult game on the Wii—which is a true rarity. This game may not be everyone’s cup of tea with the violence, language and mature subject matter that hits you from everywhere, but despite the rated R subject matter, there is no denying that this is one of the best games available on the system.
