b) Part One
Make your way through the rooftop greenhouse, and across the many rooftops beyond.
Head through the fifth floor window ahead, through the apartment building, and back out onto more rooftops.
Drop down, and into the fourth floor window of the next apartment building. Hordes of the infected are among its new residents.
Hop out the window onto the semi trailer, and avoid the car alarm as you make your way into the Harbor View Hotel safe room.
c) Part Two
Be glad you didn’t pay for the night, as you’ll need to exit the back of hotel and then climb the fire escape to get to the higher levels of the hotel.
Head through the fourth floor, battling off any hordes, and then up and across the fifth floor.
Jump out the window onto the rooftops and activate the crane. This will lower a dumpster that you can climb to access the rest of the rooftops, but will also attract hordes of the infected. Use the gas cans scattered about to defend yourselves.
As you cross the rooftops and head into the Merrill Law Office watch out for smokers and hunters skulking about, not to mention any potential witches once inside the building itself.
Cross through, hop into the adjacent office building, and head down the stairs.
Cross your way through the cube farm on the third floor, and though there many side rooms few of them have any supplies. The second floor contains more cubes, more infected, and more largely empty side rooms.
Head out the front door onto the streets, then get across and enter the safe room found in the Self Storage building a half block to your left. Watch out for any car alarms as you make your way there.
d) Part Three
Head through the alleyways and up on top of the construction site. To get any further you will need to burn down the barricade at the end of the alleyway beyond.
On the plus side this area has many gas cans and molotovs, but while using them to defend your little hill you are prime targets for smokers. The last time I led a group down this route one of them dragged a lawyer right off and down through the flames.
Once the barricade is no more head down the rest of the alleys and across the street to the power station.
Head around all of the transformers to find the garage entrance, but be prepared to fight anything from hordes to witches and tanks as you do so.
The maintenance room just inside has plentiful supplies.
Once out the doors you will be staring at the Metro International Airport, Terminal A. Don’t spend too much time patting yourself on the back, as this area is known to host hordes as well as witches.
Head out and around to the left, and finally past a car alarm to reach the parking garage.
Make your way up through the garage but do so carefully; if a tank is waiting among the parked vehicles alls it has to do is send one flying to drop half of your team at once. If you do find a tank in here try and take cover behind the pillars and corners, and either stay behind them if you see it’s about to plow into a four-door or run if it begins to rush your group.
Once at the top simply head across the sky bridge and lick your wounds in the safe room beyond.
e) Part Four
Exit the safe room and head across the baggage claim’s second level. Make your way through the office section, grabbing supplies among the boardrooms as you go.
Once back in the baggage claim area head down the escalators. To move forward you will need to break the barricade, which you could probably do by starting the van. I was reluctant to try it though, even with all of the supplies on the ticketing desk I just know that the noise will attract hordes of the infected.
If you do make it through the barricade follow the ticketing / check in area and duck down into the baggage conveyor system.
At the end of the system you will exit into the boarding area, and likely come face to face with a horde. If you are stupid enough to walk through the metal detectors with all the weaponry you are likely carrying you’ll summon even more infected to the area.
Head up the escalator and down the gate access way to the left. Pass all of the restaurants and book stores to reach the safe room found within gate B2.
f) Part Five
Head down through the field of wrecked planes and see if you can find one that is still taking on passengers.
If at all possible try to avoid turning on the gas pump on the truck. The noise of the pump reverberates through the whole airport and will find you neck deep in mobs of the infected.
If you do need to hold out in this area for any reason make use of the mounted gun and supplies near the fuel truck. Propane tanks can also be found among the debris.
Regardless how you do it, be sure that you are near the plane when the pilot is ready to go. As soon as he pops open the door to let you in scramble so that he can take off as soon as possible.
4) Blood Harvest
a) General information – This route is often the most dangerous, winding its way through railways and forests to get to the military extraction point. Of course, the military was wiped out long ago, but if you can lead your group to their old headquarters in the farmhouse at Daughtery Farm you can likely call for a pickup from a passing military convoy.
b) Part One
Head through Allegheny National Forest, following the path while watching the thick brush for any signs of movement. It is likely that a horde will happen upon you as you go.
Cross the rope bridge past the picnic table and check the building on the left for supplies. Keep in mind that another horde is likely hanging around the area.
Press onward, following the path around the railway below. As it takes you left enter the building at its end and into its safe room.
c) Part Two
Head down the stairs and through the offices on the lower level. You’ll exit through the windows onto the upper levels of the rail house.
In the back corner on the ground level is a small room with an emergency exit door. Unfortunately it is the only way out, and opening the door will sound an alarm and cause a horde to swarm you. Watch the doors, but especially watch the vent in the ceiling.
Head through the door, up the stairs, and out through the big windows above. Be careful to not leave anyone behind when you leap out however; a musician in my group a few times ago was killed by a hunter and there was no way to get back up to stop it.
Follow the train tracks a fair distance, around and over the cars, until you reach the safe room through a broken section of wall on the left.
d) Part Three
Head through the concrete hallways to reach the exit, back into the forest.
As you make your way through the forests be prepared to fight the hordes and occasional tank it hides among its old oaks.
Enter the concrete building at the paths end and head down the stairs inside. At the bottom make your way down the halls and back out onto the rails.
It’s another long walk filled with train cars and the infected, but make your way under the bridge and check the generator building for supplies.
You’ll need an alternate way up onto the cliffs you pass on the left. I would try decoupling a train car to see if you can knock the bridge down and make a new bridge of your own. Of course, such a loud noise is bound to anger a few of the not-so-pleasant locals.
The shack found up on the cliff is a safe room, and likely still has some food if you are feeling incredibly adventurous.
e) Part Four
Follow the path to reach the main Richardson Atlantic train depot. Watch out for hordes, tanks, smokers, and all manners of the infected.
Make your way through the depot, but watch out for a car with an active alarm in the parking lot.
Follow the rails, checking the small building for supplies, and enter the house up ahead through its basement access. Hordes of the infected will probably lengthen the time it takes for you to do so.
I have no idea what happened here earlier, but someone or something had a bad day.
Head up through the house, and leap out one of the windows in the top floor to get back out onto the rails.
Cross the railway bridge and enter the caboose safe room parked up ahead.
