Once you start the mission you'll have to deal with the collector enemies as well as be mindful of the progress of your infiltrator. During this mission whoever you chose to infiltrate the tunnels will repeatedly come across vents that you need to open in time or they will die. The opening of these vents is of paramount importance as your squad member's life, and the success of the mission hang in the balance. Use your squad to your advantage allowing you to make the opening of the vents a priority. Once all eight vents are open your squads will meet back up.

For the next part of your mission you'll need a powerful biotic to create a dome of biotic shielding to protect you from the collector swarm. For this role, choose either Samara/Morinth or Jack, again, do not pick someone who is not loyal to you as if you do the strain of maintaining the shield will be too much and they will fall. You will also need a second fire team leader as well as someone to escort the Normandy crew back to the Normandy. For the second fire team leader, again go with either Garrus or Miranda. For the squad member doing the escort run, give some thought as to who you will be bringing with you in your squad. If you are not bringing Mordin, assign him to escort duty. If you are bringing Mordin, assign either Grunt or Jacob to the escort role. If you do not bring Mordin with you and do not give him escort duty our statistical models show a high possibility of death for the Salarian.

Once the roles have been established, head out under the protection of the biotic dome. Along with the usual slate of collector enemies you'll also have husks and Scions to deal with so be sure to focus your fire accordingly to take out the Scions while being mindful of the husks and abominations closing to melee range. Once you've made it to your final destination your squad will be reunited, save for whoever you sent back to the Normandy.

Success is nearly at hand however before you can deal with the collector threat once and for all you'll need to pick your squad mates to accompany you for the rest of the game, leaving the remainder of your team behind. Miranda and Mordin are excellent choices here, as they provide a nice balance of biotic and tech powers, however whoever you choose, you're going to want to leave as many defense oriented squad mates such as Grunt and Jacob behind to watch your back. This means bringing member such as Tali, Jack or Mordin with you. Once you've made your choices, move on.

This next encounter is similar to the encounter atop the moving platforms on the collector ship. As you take out the enemies on a platform, another platform of enemies will float in. Focus your attention on the Harbinger once he takes control of a drone and maintain cover at all times. The last platform contains two scions and multiple husks. Try and conserve ammo for the final fight and use your biotic and tech powers to deal with the last platform. Once everything is dead, use the nearby control panel to move on.

Finally we see the enormity of the collectors' task. The partially completed humanoid Reaper awaits a heavy dose of justice, Shepard style. As the four orange tubes open on the humanoid Reaper, destroy them while at the same time dealing with the waves of collector enemies. If you're quick on the trigger you can take out two tubes at once, however they won't stay open long enough to take out more than two at once. Once all of the tubes are down you have a choice to make. Either take out the collectors but keep their technology to use against the coming Reaper threat, or destroy the base outright. Whatever you choose, know that it will have sweeping consequences for humanity.

Once your choice has been made, the reaper will return for one last fight. There are several weak points on the reaper, including the eyes, the mouth and the chest cavity. When the reaper charges up it's main attack beam, remain behind cover to stay safe. Hopefully you heeded my warning and brought the Cain with you as one shot from this weapon does considerable damage to the reaper. While taking out the reaper you'll also have waves of collectors arriving however let your squad deal with them as you focus on the reaper.

Once the reaper is down you'll make your way back to the Normandy in dramatic fashion. If you followed my advice and acted accordingly every member of your squad will survive, you will survive and humanity has a fighting chance. Congratulations Shepard.

Congratulations on a job well done and no one left behind.
