Dragon Age Origins Interview
Five questions with David Gaider, Lead Writer Dragon Age Origins. OK, maybe a few more than five.

Finally how was your experience at Gencon? Are you a board gamer? Were there any products you had to get?

It was great fun. I've never been, and I was shocked at the size of the crowds. It took me two days just to see the entire main exhibitor hall, and even then I didn't realize how many other rooms there were with card games, board games and even the many speakers -- there were speakers? Talking about games! Inconceivable! Yet there it was.

I'm not much of a board gamer, myself, though I did buy a great movie trivia game called "Cineplexity". I did pick up a whole bunch of tabletop gaming stuff (especially from "the Forge", a place that specializes in off-the-beaten-path RPG games) and more costuming than I could almost fit back in my suitcase. I actually found this beautiful leather doublet that not only fit but looked spectacular. I am such a nerd, it's sad.

My voice is also raw. After many interviews and podcasts, I was nearly hoping on Sunday that the media people might already have gone home so my throat could get a rest. And if I see the DA demo one more time I think I may start choking on my own vomit (who knew such a thing was possible?) -- but overall? I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I'm definitely going back next year, whether Bioware sends me or not.

We'd like to thank David for his time. Vomit not withstanding.
