10 Games to Play with Your Kids This Holiday
It's not too late! There's still time (as of this writing...) to get your kid that last videogame treat! Or use the gift card you got for Christmas on some quality games. Take these suggestions from one eight year old gamer.

6. Rock Band 2- EA; Xbox 360

I was leery about adding this one but Ashley was determined -- plus we do play this a lot -- a whole lot. Ashley sings and to hear her wail away on Rebel Girl while I play fake guitar is something I will never, ever forget. If your kids love music you absolutely owe it to yourself to play Rock Band with them.

The word from Ashley: I love this game because I like singing some of the songs like Lump and Rebel Girl and That's What You Get and I also like buying new clothes for my character. My singer's name is Teaka and she has a fire tattoo on her belly, some nose rings and bright pink lipstick. (Good lord what have I done...)

5. LEGO Star Wars/Indy/Batman - Lucasarts; Xbox 360/Wii

When it comes to co-op gaming with your kid, nothing, and I mean nothing beats the LEGO games -- be it Star Wars, Indy or Batman (we prefer Star Wars) there's nothing better when you want to play a game with your little gamer. The fact that these games are brilliant on their own merit is just icing.

The word from Ashley: The Star Wars game is one of my favorite games because I can play with my dad and you never really die. I hate games that make you die a lot and start over again. Dad likes to find the coins but I just like whacking people with lightsabers. (For those scoring at home I have raised a fire tattoo loving Spider-man worshipping Dark Jedi who cooks a mean burger. Dad of the year. That's me.)
