Major League Baseball 2K9 Conference Call
We give you the lowdown on the Friday afternoon conference call with Major League Baseball 2K9 developers.
Date: Friday, February 20, 2009
Author: William Abner

Another presentation question about how the crowd looks. Inquiring minds...

World Baseball Classic question -- no dice, Chicago.

Accessory question? Colors of wristbands? Am I that far out of touch?

Player Ambition: Not all about $$. Players have personality. Every player is rated for financial security, winning a title, playing in a small/large market, etc. I like that a lot.

No more Miller and Morgan. Man I kinda liked them.

Play by play will flow smoother, no player stitching.

PS3 Trophies? Yes.

What is your favorite Achievement? I tuned that out. Sorry. Xbox Live Avatars? Again...sorry I'm distracted.

"Considerable improvement in online play" 2K Share is in.

More online league stuff. Flex schedule is back

Going off mute....doh! I can't type loadly now? And...a baby is crying. Nice.

Wii question: "No comment" Done by a different studio.

Demo due next week.

Minor leagues: AAA lvl is playable, not AA or A -- minor league stat issues "fixed"

Some dude asked about bringing back late 80's console punch. What?

"People want to have a casual experience" -- dangerous game, that.

A Topps Trading Card question. Look if you want to know about that, you are reading the wrong Twitter feed.

OK this is starting to wrap up. I'm too sick to ask a question (I sound like death). But I take away from this that franchise is better...the gameplay easier, the presentation and online vastly improved.

And that was it.

Thanks for reading everyone -- let's do this again when I don't have a 100 degree fever. Look for the demo next week and the game on March 3rd.
