Codemasters announced today that it has launched the first in a series of videos profiling each of the members of the Jericho squad in Clive Barker's Jericho), the upcoming Action/Horror FPS. The lead video features the fiery combat skills of heavy weapons expert and pyromancer Sgt. Frank Delgado, and is now available for download from Gamer's Hell .

The Jericho squad is a seven-man strike force for the U.S. Department of Occult Warfare, sent into the Middle Eastern city of Al-Khali to investigate an intense level of paranormal activity. Throughout Clive Barker's Jericho, gamers will play as, and be able to switch between the different members of the Jericho squad - each of them skilled in their own modern warfare tactics and weapons, as well as individual para-psychological disciplines, including telekinesis, blood magic, exorcism and more.

Sgt. Frank Delgado is the Jericho squad's heavy weapons expert and Pyromancer - which can be roughly translated as "one who speaks with fire". In Delgado's case, the fire he speaks with is an entity of living flame that he says is Ababanili, a Chickasaw flame spirit. After contacting the spirit, Delgado offered it his right arm as a sacrifice to win its cooperation, which it accepted. The creature of flame now lives as a parasite on Frank's arm, encased and contained in a large metal sleeve that is covered in arcane symbols (courtesy of Sgt. Church) and is curiously warm to the touch.

Owing to the lack of an overarching storyline, Mount & Blade is a game that’s difficult to get into at first. If you can get past the growing pains, however, it offers a compelling, dynamic world that you are free to explore at your leisure and a combat model that is both frenetic and addicting.
