Wizards of the Coast, the folks behind many popular collectible trading card games, has announced its plans to extend the Magic: The Gathering franchise to gamers on the 360’s Xbox Live Arcade service, PC and Mac platforms through partnerships with Stainless Games and Mind Control Software. Stainless Games will develop a Magic: The Gathering game for both XBLA and the PC, while Mind Control will develop a game for the PC and Mac. Seeing as how online trading card games have started to become much more popular as of late, it’s not surprising to see Magic: the Gathering jump into the arena that it pretty much dominates. The dirty details such as release dates and pricing will be made available when they have been disclosed.
