Atari has confirmed that the action survival game Alone in the Dark for Xbox 360, PC, the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 2 has launched and is available on store shelves across Europe while the North American release will be June 23rd. The PlayStation 3 version, which is noticeably absent from the releases, is scheduled for release in the fall of 2008.

“We set out to deliver an innovative, high quality game to the hands of players everywhere,” said David Nadal, Studio Head and Game Director, Eden Games. “Driven by our studio's passion and the desire to create something genuinely original, Alone in the Dark is a game that will change how you play, and reward you with an entertainment experience you won’t forget.”

Developed by Eden Games, Alone in the Dark for Xbox 360 and PC sees the return of the survival horror franchise with new innovations and wide screen cinematic presentation. The game follows paranormal investigator Edward Carnby as over the course of one apocalyptic night he must fight to survive and uncover the earth-shattering secret behind New York’s Central Park.
