Will Wright on to Stupid Fun Things
Sims creator leaves EA to start dev. company
Date: Wednesday, April 08, 2009
Author: Jeff McAllister

Will Wright, the genius behind such games as The Sims series and Spore, has called it quits with his employer of 12 years, Electronic Arts, and has decided to venture off in his own direction with a new company called “Stupid Fun Club”. Although the company is not solely a video game company, it will also dabble in creating new properties for television, movies and “fine home care products”.

"The entertainment industry is moving rapidly into an era of revolutionary change," said Will Wright. "Stupid Fun Club will explore new possibilities that are emerging from this sublime chaos and create new forms of entertainment on a variety of platforms."

Stupid fun club currently has a website up, but there really is not too much information on it at the present time.
