In a story that proves that not all gamers are miscreants, Trion Worlds may have dodged a gargantuan bullet after a player revealed a security exploit in the company's new MMO, Rift.

Rift forum member, ManWitDaPlan , revealed that he had successfully hacked his friend's account in under 30 seconds. Worse, he didn't need so much as a valid email address or password.

Trion Worlds has been quick to jump on the situation and has assured player that the security issue has been fixed. Trion Worlds has been forthcoming about security troubles as of late - nearly 1-percent of accounts have been affected by issues - and has publicly stated that more employees will be hired and more resources directed at combating these issues.
