The latest downloadable content for Left 4 Dead 2, Cold Stream, is currently being tested internally by Valve Software, but the company that brought us Half-Life and Steam wants some outside help. that's where you come in: Valve is inviting players to put the Cold Stream maps through the paces. The maps were designed with a significant amount of input from the L4D 2 community, so Valve wants to make sure the new map meets their approval.
Valve added that if 20,000 people can earn the Stream Crosser achievement it will release Dead Air from the upcoming Cold Stream DLC on July 22 - a bit earlier than promised. The Stream Crosser achievement challenges players to survive a campaign of Cold Stream on any difficulty. It sounds easy enough.
