Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Delayed
CS cake is still half-baked.
Date: Monday, October 31, 2011
Author: James Fudge

Based on user feedback the upcoming Counter-Strike: Global Offensive needs more development time. Now the game has a tentative release date of "when it's done." Valve has also delayed the planned beta, which was originally planned to launch in October.

While Valve didn't have a new date for the beta, the company did say that it will focus on any hardware compatibility issues that come to light. The closed beta will also only contain one or two maps at the start.

Sixteen maps were promised for launch, including eight classic maps and another eight "Gun Game" maps.

While a real date isn't available right now, it looks like early 2012 is the target. We'll keep you posted,
