According to this MCV report Mojang is in a conversation with LEGO to create an official Minecraft toy line with the company. The possibility came about when users were given the opportunity to vote for a tie-in on LEGO’s Cuusoo website - based on ideas pitched by the community. It would seem that the community is very fond of Minecraft.

Developer Mojang said that “seeing LEGO Minecraft is a dream” and that it is “working directly with LEGO to make it happen”. Mojang has also pledged to donate all money raised from sales to charity, should a partnership come to fruition.

Hopefully it becomes a reality in 2012.
