The server keeps track of all your in game stats and as you play you acquire experience points, which are used to improve your abilities in standard RPG like setting.

Right now you can play what are called pick up games in a lobby just by joining a group of like minded game players, and perhaps after you’ve built up time with them you could decide to always play as a team. Leagues aren’t yet available but should be coming at some point.

I started in the rookie room and although was treated like a noob, there were some people to help me out. Although my preferred position is a pitcher, I started as a catcher. I had no idea what I was doing, but luckily other people took pity on me and told me how to catch and throw the ball back to the pitcher (press 5). The bases are 1-2-3-4 (for home), so it makes it easy to throw.

If there is a problem with a particular player, you can ban him by pressing F4 and clicking the check box next to his name. If a majority of players ban them, they will be removed from the game.

The stadium you play in looks very close to Kauffmann Stadium with fountains and everything. The graphics are much better than what I would expect with an MMORPG and a baseball one at that.

The biggest issue that I’ve had with the game so far is the lag – your game is only as good as the player with the slowest connection and you see slow connections quite a bit. You’ll see people drop out of the game and if you have less than a 3v3 game, the game will end. (You can go all the way to 9v9, but you must have at least 3v3 – the other players will be computer controlled).

I see an enormous amount of potential in the game. Right now the price is right (free), but I don’t know how much I would pay per month to continue playing. Get it while you still can and maybe you’ll get addicted. I can certainly see how this game could get addictive fast!
